Prof. Maria Wladyka- Przybylak coordinated the activities of the Interdepartmental Composite Team and the Bank of Natural Fibres and the Information on Fibres. She has been holding the position of Deputy Director for Research of the Institute of Natural Fibres and Medicinal Plants (INF&MP) in Poznan since 1st January 2009. Her main areas of interest include: i) composites based on natural fibres, ii) protection of wood, wood derivatives and textiles against degradation caused by biotic and abiotic factors, iii) chemical modification of lignocellulosic materials, iv) nanocomposites, v) mechanisms of protective effect of fire retardants and their applications for protection against fire of such flammable materials as wood, lignocellulosic materials, polymers, fabrics and other textile materials, vi) chemistry of activity of intumescent fire retardants.
